- Account details: When you create an account we collect your email address, chosen username, and authentication identifiers supplied by our sign-in provider (Supabase).
- Usage information: We log basic analytics such as feature usage counts, credit consumption, and device/browser metadata to help us troubleshoot and improve the service.
- Content you submit: Templates, report drafts, and other materials that you save to the cloud or share with the community.
- Support interactions: Messages you send through our contact form or email, including attachments and contextual details you provide.
How we use information
We use the collected information to operate, maintain, and improve AI Report Writer, including:
- Authenticating you and securing your account.
- Processing report generation requests and tracking credit usage.
- Providing customer support and responding to inquiries.
- Developing new features, measuring performance, and preventing abuse.
Data storage & retention
- Most drafts and generated reports stay in your browser storage unless you choose to sync them.
- Cloud data (templates, account profile, usage credits) is stored on Supabase servers located in the region selected by our workspace.
- We retain account information while your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize associated data within 30 days, except where legal obligations require longer retention.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share data in the following situations:
- With trusted service providers such as Supabase and analytics tools that support our platform under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- When you publish templates or other content to the community gallery.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, or protect the rights, safety, or property of AI Report Writer, our users, or the public.
Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and cache content for faster performance. You can manage cookie settings in your browser, but disabling them may limit functionality.
Your choices
- Access, update, or delete your account information from the user settings page.
- Export or delete templates and reports stored in the app at any time.
- Contact us to request data access, correction, or deletion beyond what self-service tools provide.
Security
We use encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and continuous monitoring of our infrastructure partners. No system is perfectly secure, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and reach out if you suspect unauthorized access.
Children's privacy
AI Report Writer is designed for educators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
International visitors
Your information may be processed in countries that may not provide the same level of protection as your home jurisdiction. We rely on standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards when transferring data internationally.
